Sisters

Sisters came in to the WNYU studios this week. The band lives at Death by Audio, a venue/practice space/pedal factory multiplex in Williamsburg. They also brought probably the most amps our live room has ever seen. The interview we did will be up soon! Here's the link to the session:

Rumpelstiltskin Grinder

Beware of the thrash brigade!! Rumpelstiltskin Grinder came by HELLHOLE for a live performance and quick interview, tearing their way through a slew of thrash anthems. Hailing from Philadelphia, their latest album, Living For Death Destroying the Rest, was just recently released by Relapse Records.

Jonas Reinhardt

Tyvek

White/Light

White/Light came by WNYU to record a session last weekend. The band is based in Chicago and artfully combines droning noise, interesting synth and pedal work, and guitar solos (making good use of what's known as the "Smashing Pumpkins" guitar pedal. They played with Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth on drums - the first time the group had played together. Here's the link to the session:
