Tyvek recorded a session for us the weekend of their big NYC blowout (Jan. 9-10.) The first song is a new one and the other four are Tyvek garage classics. There's also an eleven second track about Crunchwraps that I'll post if I can find it. Starts about an hour and 15 min in:

White/Light

White/Light came by WNYU to record a session last weekend. The band is based in Chicago and artfully combines droning noise, interesting synth and pedal work, and guitar solos (making good use of what's known as the "Smashing Pumpkins" guitar pedal. They played with Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth on drums - the first time the group had played together. Here's the link to the session:
